You choose one image through the iPadOS system photo picker. LightBoxx receives only that image, without general access to your photo library. Processing for display and negative view takes place locally on your iPad. LightBoxx does not send images to us, an app server or other providers.

The reference and its processed view are held in memory only for the current session. LightBoxx does not create project files or persist its own image copies. Your originals in the Photos app remain unchanged.

The app stores only whether you have already seen the unlock instructions, using the local iPadOS preferences store. This setting is not sent to us and remains until the app is deleted. Depending on your Apple settings, device backups may include local preferences; LightBoxx does not operate its own cloud sync.

LightBoxx requires no account and contains no advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs. We receive no images, device identifiers or personal usage data through the app. LightBoxx does not carry out profiling or automated decision-making about you.

Apple provides the photo picker, iCloud Photos where applicable, the App Store, purchases and operating-system features. Apple may process data under its own privacy policies. For iCloud Photos, iPadOS may download your selected image from Apple. LightBoxx does not receive payment details from the app purchase.

If you choose to contact support, we process your email address, message and any details or files you voluntarily provide to respond to your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to other enquiries. Please do not send private photos for general questions.

We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and meet applicable statutory retention requirements. Details about email providers and data processing when visiting this website are in the website privacy policy.

Where we process personal data, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability under the applicable legal conditions. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can withdraw consent with effect for the future. Contact us using the email address above. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in your place of residence, work or the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for our registered location is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Germany.
